“As an otome game, Hakuoki helps give women a place in the industry that is all too often not afforded them,” says Ben Bateman, the game’s lead editor at Aksys Games. “This isn’t to say that Hakuoki is a girls-only club. Nor is it saying that women have no interest in more ‘traditional’ games, or that the only way to interest women in video games is to make games about dating. The point here is two-fold: the protagonist is a woman, and she is not presented as a sex object for men to fawn over.” (Source)Don’t forget everyone; Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom is coming out this month on February 14th! If you haven’t done so already, preorder your copy! The limited edition version (for $10 more) comes with a 72 page, full colour art book, as well as the game’s soundtrack.
By buying this game, you are helping show there is a market for otome games in North America; a good reception means more will be translated into English.
Having a human cat is in my ‘must have’ list now in order for my life to be complete.
(I can pet him as well :3)

This game is mind-blowing. Played the second ending with Bradley and I’d say it’s shit, although I finally discovered what these weird faggots are actualy up to. Yeah you’d be surprised.
And to be honest I don’t like the main female character design.
So that leaves Nathaniel, Linds and Rafael.
Oops I have to study for my exam next week bleaaahhh
